We are sorry to announce that due to a lack of financial support and reduced production conditions we are not able to realize planned additional program of the 5th Balkan Dance Platform: Video Showroom and Walking Critique – BDP 09.
The aim of the Video Showroom was to create video archive of contemporary dance productions in the Balkans (mobile exhibition) and enable continuous promotion and information about contemporary dance tendencies in the Balkans.
This program has been planned in partnership with Station – service for contemporary dance (Belgrade).
The coaching for the ctiticism of contemporary dance “The Walking Critique – BDP 09” was planned as an intensive five-day programme intended to contribute to the development of the regional critical discourse on performing arts and contemporary dance in particular in the categories of international contemporary criticism and art theory, and to raise the quality of reception of programmes seen at BDP and contemporary dance in general in the Balkan context.
Coaching has been planned in partnership with TkH – centre for theory and practice of performing arts (Belgrade).
We will consider possiblities to develop these ideas in future collaborations with our local partners.
We will inform all interested applicants about further steps that would contribute to promotion of contemporary dance and development of critical discourse on contemporary dance in the Balkans.
